Presenting Buddy!
Some very lucky adopter will be so happy to make the acquaintance of this charming fellow!
Buddy came from a shelter in northern Ontario and he is ready for a chance at life here in the south. This guy is super sweet - full of affection for humans of all sizes and cats alike. He would likely be fine with respectful dags as well.
Buddy would be best with another kitty companion. He is currently being fostered with his friend Allegra, but would be fine making new friends with a different kitty as well.

Presenting Lanny!
This fellow is not just handsome but truly regal looking!
Lanny came to us from a shelter in Cobalt and he is an extremely welcome guest!
Just over a year old, (DOB Dec/20/22) Lanny is one of the sweetest boys we have met in a long time. A real purr machine, he loves to be held and snuggled.
He would probably prefer a home with another kitty to play with as he is extremely social, but would possibly be fine if his person(s) were around a lot.
He is good with cats, and likely good with respectful dogs and children.

Presenting Gloria and Greyson (two grey and white kittens) and
Hermione and Lucas (tortie and black kittens)
These dynamic brother/sister duos are such a powerhouse of energy, but at the same time, are so cuddly, sweet and loving! Both are very curious, which is another way of saying that they are into everything all the time! They run, climb, and bounce, but when you sit with them they are just little purring motors!
They came into our foster home bringing such a positive, loving and fun-loving vibe with them!
They will do well in a forever home that realizes how much energy they have right now, and how much trouble kittens will get into! They will benefit from a home where they can safely run, explore, climb and tackle each other! They do well with their humans who are willing to throw cat balls with bells, swishing feather toys around, and providing cat climbers and scratchers, which they require so as to try to redirect them from scratching other things around the house. That being said, they are still kittens and will try to get into everything else! They will need regular nail trims. For all the energy they have, they will also need their favourite plush cat beds, along with brushing, cuddles, and lots of love from their humans.
In our foster home, they have had the experience of living with 2 very calm and kind human kids, and they do very well. They have had the experience of meeting a resident adult cat, and they did a good job there, too. So far, they have not met a dog. We think because of their happy, sweet nature, they would do ok in a home that had a dog, as long as they were introduced very gradually, and as long as the dog is calm and gentle with cats.
They must be adopted in pairs unless you have a kitten of similar age in the home already

Presenting Calum!
We know that he is not going to be easy to find the right home for - but he deserves a chance!
It took months of intensive strategy to gain the trust of this fellow
When his foster mom noticed him outside last fall, he was wearing a collar and had a complete tail.
We later found out that he had escaped his carrier while enroute to the vet for a checkup and had been lost. Sometime later his tail was cut? Squished? Caught in something?
Anyway, infection set in and chunks of tail started falling off, frozen to the ground. Was it gangrene? Frostbite?
His foster mom was determined to get him in and get him help. For many weeks she blasted a space heater into her basement bathroom, and opened the window (under her deck) - to lure him to come in.
She heated up bowl after bowl of food - and finally the day came when he was far enough inside that we could shut the door.
He had a visit to the vet where the remaining tail needed to be amputated back to healthy flesh, and he's doing so much better now.
Calum is still a very shy fellow. He will tolerate occasional petting and is curious about other cats but not getting along with the older resident male cat in his foster home
He would be fine as a single cat, or possibly in a home with one or two gentle cats
He is about 2 years young, and is looking for a quiet home with one or two adults that will give him space to blossom into the cat we know he can be.
We know that he is not going to be easy to find the right home for - but he deserves a chance!

Introducing Rosa!
Poor Rosa has had a hard-knock life so far, but is hoping for something wonderful to come her way - she really deserves it!
Rosa came to us as a single, pregnant mom along with the one surviving (4 month old) kitten from her last litter.
She raised her kids and they have all been adopted - now she needs and deserves a home of her own.
But here is the challenge - Rosa has been let down by humans so far and still doesnt trust.
She prefers to hide from new things, but has NEVER shown the slightest hint of agression.
She will occasionally allow you to pet her gently, but does not seek out attention yet.
Rosa is fine with other cats but does not seek their attention.
The perfect home for this fluffy and elegant cat is one with another gentle and social kitty around for companionship. Or a quiet person who doesnt mind if she keeps to herself.
Rosa may never be a lap cat - but she will be a beautiful companion and you will have given a sweet kitty a new lease on a happy life.

Adopting a Cat
The matchmaking is the most important part! We work hard to make sure that cat finds the best possible home for them We carefully match cats to homes for which they are suitable and compatible.
And we work with applicants to assess and match their lifestyle with the right cat.
After an initial interview, applicants will be asked to provide references.
Because of Covid, adopters must agree to a virtual home check prior to adoption.
An adoption contract will be sent by email, and it must be signed and dated, scanned and returned.
An adoption fee is required. Our adoption fee is currently $250. each for cats that have been spayed/neutered.
We do reserve the right to deny an adoption applicant.
All of the cats in our rescue are spayed/neutered if they are old enough, may be current on vaccinations and microchipped depending on their specific situation and health.
Other veterinary care as needed and appropriate will have been done.
For many reasons we only adopt to residents of Ontario.
To apply to adopt a cat, use our online form to submit an adoption application. or
download the application, fill it out and email it back to us.
Shelter animals come from diverse situations and backgrounds.
Often they have lost their home through no fault of their own but due to changes in their previous family's life.
They are not broken or damaged, but just need a home and love.
